Double-wall underground wire is great for carrying voltage across gate openings and jumping from wire to wire. Burying insulated wire at gates provides better transfer of voltage to the opposite side and is safer and more effective than running wire overhead or depending solely on spring or bungy gates to transfer voltage.
It is highly recommended to place underground wire inside conduit pipe for added protection at gate openings or other high traffic areas. Rated for 20,000 volts. 0.34" outside diameter. The 12½ gauge class 3 galvanized wire lasts longer and conducts better than 16 gauge. Made with UV-stabilized polyethylene.
